A bundle of relatively sturdy and costly 100% wool—gabardine and twill—
was twice dyed with sumi ink, then subjected to two hours of washing and rinsing in a drum washer.
This is what remains.

Its original sheen has vanished, some of the weft threads now peek through,
and it has come to pair harmoniously with linen, taking on the gentle touch of cotton.
With every glance, it becomes a piece more deeply cherished.

比較的丈夫で高価なウール100%のギャバジンやツイルから成るひとかたまりを、二度墨染し、ドラム式洗濯機で計二時間の洗濯とすすぎを行った成れ果て。

光沢は消え、緯糸は所々はみ出て、そして、麻と馴染み、綿のような心地のよい肌ざわりとなり、目に触れる度に愛着の湧く一着となりました。
